Before every cleaning

Switch the device off and unplug it. Never immerse the device itself in water.

Daily

  • Water tub: empty it, wipe it with a clean disposable cloth and let it air-dry.
  • Mask: clean it as described in the mask's user guide.
  • Water: fill the tub only up to the maximum mark. The manufacturer's documents specify distilled water; if in doubt, ask your provider.

Weekly

  • Water tub: wash it in warm water with a mild detergent, rinse thoroughly and let it dry. According to the manufacturer it may also go in the dishwasher – top rack only, delicate or glass cycle, max. 65 °C.
  • Air tubing: wash it in warm water with a mild detergent, rinse well and hang it to dry away from direct sunlight and heat. Not in the washing machine or dishwasher.
  • Device exterior: wipe with a dry cloth.

Limescale deposits

For limescale in the water tub, the user guide recommends a solution of one part household vinegar to ten parts water. Rinse thoroughly with clean water afterwards.

Air filter

Check the air filter regularly for dirt and replace it at least every six months – earlier if it is dirty. The filter is not washable. Never operate the device without a filter.

What not to use

The manufacturer advises against bleach, chlorine- or alcohol-based cleaners, aromatic solutions, scented oils and antibacterial soaps. They can damage the plastic or leave residues.

When to replace parts

Cracks, discolouration or deformation of the water tub, tubing or mask are a reason to replace them. Suitable parts for the ResMed AirSense 10, such as water tubs, SlimLine tubing and masks, can be found in our accessories & masks category.

Technical cleaning and inspection

The internal air paths and the blower are not accessible to users. If the device makes unusual noises or the humidifier no longer heats, you can have it technically checked through our CPAP service.
